Recruitment Meeting Tonight!
Come Join Troop 66!
Girls can join a Scouts BSA troop we’re starting, and enjoy the same program — up to and including Eagle Scout rank — that boys alone have experienced until now. Visit us TONIGHT and see what it is all about, from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM at St. Bernard’s Parish Center, southwest corner of Rice Street and Rose Avenue (enter parking lot from Rose), a block south of Maryland Avenue, in Saint Paul, Minnesota. We are part of the Northern Star Council. This is an opportunity to become a Founder of a Scouts BSA troop, just for girls. Boys are also welcome to show-up with their parents, and we can register them for the Scouts BSA troop for boys that already exists. But we are especially looking for girls who want to experience all the things that only Boy Scouts got to do until now. Join us, and be a part of it! It is the start of a great new day!

Information Session on January 7, 2019!
Let's Start a Girls' Troop!
The troop committee behind the Boy Scouts of America units Troop 66 and Pack 66 have decided to have a girls' troop, too! They will also have the Troop 66 number, and carry on the tradition of Scouting at St. Bernard's Catholic Church that goes back over fifty years. If you have questions about what's the same, and what's different, when it comes to girls in Scouts BSA (the new name of the "Boy Scouts" program in February, 2019), click the link on "BSA's Family Scouting Information" in our "Useful Links" list.
Joining Requirements
To join the new Scouts BSA troop for girls, they must be from age 11 through 17 years old. Older girls are certainly welcome, even if they can't stay even a whole year before "aging out" at 18 years old. They can help provide leadership to younger girls.
Girls who are younger, in kindergarten through 5th grade, may join Cub Scout Pack 66. They will crossover into a Scouts BSA troop when they have completed their Arrow of Light rank as Webelos cub scouts.
Adults are also welcome! Even if you were never in a Scouting program, we can teach you what you need to know. If you are available at our normal meeting time (see below), you can be a big help. We welcome parents on camping trips and other outings. Note that all adults, not just registered leaders, must take the BSA's Youth Protection Training in order to go on a camping trip.

When and Where to Meet?
All the Scouting units chartered by the St. Bernard's Men's Club meet at the Parish Center of St. Bernard's Catholic Church. You can enter the parking lot from Rose Avenue (a block south of Maryland Avenue), just west of Rice Street in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
The Scouts BSA troops will meet at 7:30 PM on Monday evenings. Meetings last one-and-a-half hours (ending at 9:00 PM). See our calendar for all the dates, times, and activities. The older youth in Scouts BSA troops meet year-round. The girls' troop will start official meetings in February, 2019.
The Cub Scout Pack 66 meets at 6:30 PM on Monday evenings, and those meetings last one hour.
Come to the Information Session!
We will meet at 7:30 PM on Monday, January 7th, 2019, at St. Bernard's Parish Center. Here are some key points:
- Parents, we want you to come in and listen to what we'll do, and ask questions.
- Girls, bring a friend if you can! There's more fun with more people. We will have games for you to play.
- We will provide application forms for adults who want to be leaders as well as for the girls.
- Please bring your checkbook; there is a fee to join Scouts BSA.
- We'll have pictures of what Boy Scout Troop 66 has done, so you can have an idea of what Scouts BSA girls' Troop 66 will do.
- Did I mention that we'll have some games?
If you are unable to make it, please call Scoutmaster Jacob Hugart on his cell phone at 651-402-0927. If he doesn't answer, please leave a voice-mail with your name and a call-back number.
